Author photographed in Spring 2016, a few years after Monsteria illustrations were created & a few years before the book was written.

When I was nine years old, I created my own unique sketches of interesting creatures and gave them fun names. This was part of a Market Day project for my 3rd grade class. It was tedious and took a long time, but I really enjoyed drawing.

Over the years, those sketches collected dust as my interests turned more to sports, primarily basketball. Six years later when I was fifteen, I rediscovered those sketches in my room. I knew there was a story to be told. In the summer of 2018, I wrote one - Monsteria.

I hope you like it and tell all of your friends. Half of the proceeds will go to a children's charity.
